Dana Scully's a medical doctor, trained coroner, FBI agent, Quantico instructor, and mother of one. She also occasionally sees religious visions, which fit great into her scientific worldview.
Canonpoint:
Because I have the worst taste (the WORST), I'm most interested in writing Scully from Season 8 onwards. We can do stuff set in earlier seasons, but I default to a later-seasons Scully.
Weird request:
I know that this is literally a show about aliens and shit, but it would mean a lot to me if you don't bring up the greys unannounced. I'm fine with them showing up in a thread - I just need a heads-up beforehand, and PMing/Discoing/Plurking me to be like "can we do the greys in this" is perfectly fine.
All other aliens, paranormal creatures, psychic babies, talking trees, etc., are welcome. Go wild, man.
Crossovers and AUs:
First of all, I love crossovers and AUing characters! I feel like just about every kind of crossover AU works for her:
✘ Rewriting her background so she's always been in your character's canon, or vice versa.
✘ Weird Shit happens and she ends up falling into your character's canon, or vice versa.
✘ Weird Shit happens and two entirely separate canon worlds are now in each other's business, whether that means a new planet's discovered and it turns out to be Tatooine or Superman accidentally punched a hole in the fabric of space-time, and two realities are now one.
The only kind of AU I'm not really interested in is an AU completely unrelated to either character's canon. So while I'm down for "Dana Scully and her infant son arrive in West Elizabeth to do frontier medicine and stay one step ahead of Dangerous People," I'm not interested in a generic Old West AU.
Ships:
I'm interested in M/F or F/F with Scully, with the caveat that anyone who isn't Fox Mulder is going to have to deal with the fact that she's probably still painfully in love with the man. Shipping with Scully comes with a mix of domesticity and adventure, and both Sad Stuff and Weird Stuff is likely to happen.
yes: Mulder, Doggett
probably yes, let's talk about it: Crosscanon, Skinner (sad)
no: Reyes, Krycek
